For her second full collection for Stella Luna, Creative Director CapucineSafyurtlu was inspired by the styles of strong, independent women from across the globe—Anatolia, France, Italy and Latin America. Their influence can be spotted quickly in Spring-Summer’s array of colors, styles and prints, each adding light-hearted and colorful injections to a mix that always remains true to the brand’s singular DNA.

Among these additions are vibrant geometric patterns, playful contrasts of petit-pois prints and a profusion of decorative golden coins that announce one’s arrival with a jingling symphony. All serve to underline the joyful and feminine spirit of the Stella Luna woman.

Complimenting those upbeat styles are offerings that reflect the designer’s love of the sleekly sensual creations and materials of ‘70s Parisian Couture. Grosgrain and Italian lace play with corset, le smoking and other classic references, while stretch lace and ruffles continue designs beyond the edges of a shoe, delicately framing the foot and ankle.

Favorite icons return with added twists. The Zipper range relies on new glove-soft leathers, and the Stella buckle plays with a lean, light and curved variation that’s perfect for warmer months. A new buckle design replicates the ease of a pull-through, double-ring closure. All reflect the brand’s rejection of the mere ornamental, highlighting the need for a woman to interact with her shoes, performing those small daily rituals that allow her to care for herself, while also ensuring the perfect fit.
