SPRING SUMMER 2013
THEME OF THE COLLECTION
A botanical atmosphere permeates the Love Moschino collection for spring/summer 2013. An intoxicating folk scent makes the warm air sizzle. The sun-scorched earth as inspiration; ethnic designs, Sangallo embroidery, applications of color and Mexican-style embroidered flowers.
The collection includes many colors, from more natural shades to typical Moschino colors such as red and blue to stronger, brighter tones.
A mixture of all-over prints gives the collection color with different patterns: large and small floral prints; geometric and checked tiles. Localized prints, in addition to the ever-present classic women, display small colored animals: the rabbit, the toucan and the swan.
New this season is the “Charlie” print on dresses, Bermuda shorts and tops. A sweet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that has recently become the full-fledged mascot of the Moschino house. Transposing the likeness of Moschino Creative Director Rossella Jardini’s cute little puppy onto fabric.
Trompe l’oeil, crocheted collars, contrasting collars, embroidery and patchwork.
Flowing, flared shapes; soft, comfortable wearability. The wearability of pants has been developed with the introduction of denim bell-bottoms.
Washed linen, cotton blends, pleated jersey, fabric stitch jersey, yarn dyes, gabardine.
Denim made with different treatments: using classic soft washes, like stone-washing, and more vigorous washes, as well as print on denim.
All-over fabrics and knit, print patchwork, crocheted collars, lace stitch pleats.
